COMPANY STORY
A shared decision to take responsibility for the future.
Michael Johnson and Alexis Berume met in 2006 while working at a garage door company. Michael worked as an installer, and Alexis worked in the office as a scheduler. Over the years, they built a family, pursued different careers, and supported one another through personal growth, changing goals, and the decision to build a company.
In 2023, they purchased an RV and began traveling across the country as a family. The decision gave them the freedom to explore a different way of living and working while moving closer to their long-term family vision. It also strengthened their belief that disciplined people can build better futures by accepting responsibility, continuing to learn, and taking purposeful action.
AIMSI grew from that shared outlook. Michael and Alexis bring different experiences to the same mission: helping organizations use AI, automation, and better systems with greater confidence while keeping people involved in the decisions that matter.

Michael “Micro” Johnson

Michael has always looked for cleaner ways to handle repetitive work and difficult problems. He taught himself software development, learned to think in systems, and continues to study how technology, people, and business processes work together.
His career in insurance centered on helping people prepare for the future. It revealed a pattern that later shaped AIMSI: organizations that perform consistently build strong systems rather than relying on effort alone. That curiosity led Michael from process improvement and automation into artificial intelligence.
Michael is focused on making artificial intelligence, automation, and intelligent systems more practical, accessible, and useful for real businesses. He is motivated by creating lasting value, helping organizations prepare for the future, and building something meaningful for the generations that follow.

Alexis Berume
Co-Founder & Chief Financial Officer
Alexis spent more than a decade working in healthcare as a Lead Technologist and Coordinator in nuclear medicine. The work required accuracy, coordination, accountability, and careful attention to detail. During that time, she completed her MBA in 2019 to prepare for greater leadership responsibility and future opportunities.
In 2023, Alexis became a travel nuclear medicine technologist, work she continues while helping build AIMSI. She brings operational discipline, financial and organizational thinking, and a commitment to personal accountability, continuous improvement, and lifelong learning.
At AIMSI, Alexis helps shape the financial, operational, and long-term business foundation. She wants clients to understand where AI can strengthen their products, services, and operations, then receive practical implementation support and a partner committed to their continued progress.
